Construction has Begun!

We are collaborating with Recycle Beirut on the renovation of a simple house in Ouzai.

Construction has begun on Haela’s House and our first step was to clear the large pile of rubble that obstructed the window and blocked almost all natural light from entering the house as shown in the images below.

It wasn’t easy but 600 bags later the corridor next to Haela’s house has been cleared and all the waste taken to a brick manufacturing factory where it will be ground down and made into new construction material.

Haela and her children can finally open the window and let some fresh air and natural light go into the house!

Outdoor construction waste blocking the only window in the living/bedroom!

After emptying all the waste Haela can finally have some natural light and wind go through the window into the house!
